Line from Slumrat Rising by Warby Picus, which is a good fantasy web serial that uses the Abrahamic religions and Gnosticism as background material. Recommended.

The cat and each of the robots would have almost definitely spent time as a desktop background on my computer back 20 years ago.
I kinda wonder why I stopped picking interesting desktop backgrounds. At home now I just have a solid black background, and at work I've got a slideshow with pictures of the kid. That's it. I lost some whimsy somewhere.

When's the last time you set cool music or whatever for your ringtone?

Perhaps I'm weird, but I almost never did that until recently. Occasionally I would pick some novelty text message notification sound for particular contacts.
Right now my ring tone for work calls is the ring tone from "In like Flint"... which also saw use as a ring tone in "Austin Powers" and musical handcuffs in "Hudson Hawk". For my personal calls I have one of the canned Samsung ring tones.
Right now my 'new email' notification for gmail is the old ICQ 'uh-oh' sound.
