Apparently his partner had hell of a sense of humor too. Joked about spreading his ashes all over the place whenever he was within earshot of a microphone. :-)

Also co-wrote "Yellowbeard" apparently, which I remember not at all, though fondly.
Checking... nope, not on netflix. Though they helpfully suggest "The hitman's bodyguard" and "Lost in space" instead.
I wasn't aware, when watching the show as a teen-ager, but there was a Monty Python documentary that came out years ago... It was pretty openly discussed in the documentary; in addition to his alcohol addiction and death.

I was vaguely aware that one of the Python crew was gay.
